On the way to Tuncurry
1:45pm 03/10/2008
We stopped for lunch at McDonalds about an hour ago after a lengthy search to find one. That was pretty surprising considering we were still in suburban Sydney. I was watching The Matrix Reloaded, but for some reason the transformer was cutting out intermittently, so we had to stop watching the movie. It looks fine now though. It must have had something to do with using the disc drive constantly. Which is also likely because whenever it's in use it makes this loud buzzing sound and there's nothing you can do to really stop it.
I also just took a couple of photos that kinda prove that this place copies everything from the rest of the world. We just passed the exit on the freeway to a town called “Toronto”. Go figure.
We're about 150-160 kilometres away from Tuncurry now, so we should be there in a little over two hours. If I get the chance I'll write more before we get there.

We're about 50 kilometres from Tuncurry now. It's been a long trip north and we're doing it all in one go to be there before 5pm. To be honest I'm getting rather bored. It's a very very hot day which means we need the air conditioning on, but the air conditioning is always too cold for me so I never have it on for long if I can help it. It's also very humid, so it's really not that nice a day. It was a very hot night last night as well. I slept with the covers off. I woke up at 5am because I was cold and pulled the covers over me, but it was too hot and I couldn't get back to sleep, so I had a restless two hours before I just got up and got breakfast. I haven't really slept that well at all while I've been away. The beds have been far too uncomfortable and the temperatures have been far too warm.
