OMG Results!

Time to stop putting this off and actually write it :P.

First of all, Saturday morning meant a well needed sleep-in. However, I then found myself trying to squeeze many things into the couple of hours before my violin exam at 1:30pm. I finished my first subtitle file (lyrics for the song CrushCrushCrush by Paramore) and I'm quite proud of that accomplishment. It took me three long hours :P.

We got to the AMEB exam place thingy 20 minutes before my exam, signed in and then went for a warm-up (I should probably mention that it was a Grade 3 exam. There are 8 Grades that the AMEB offers). That went really well. But then I got into my exam room and things started flopping instantly :(. I mucked up quite a few things (at least, it seemed like it at the time). Probably my most obvious mistake was messing up the bowing style for one of the exercises I had to do. And then the guy had to ask me to play the one exercise I completely sucked at :(.

Later that day we picked up my Dad from the airport. He'd just came back from New South Wales after 6 days dealing with the after-effects of Poppa's death (the funeral, the executing of the will, etc.). It was good to see him again, and it was fun to see some of the stuff he'd brought back with him. Unfortunately, he has to go up there again in about a week's time to bring back more stuff.

On Sunday I finally caught up with Stuart, someone who I haven't seen in ages. We played some Xbox before us and his whole family went along to watch him and his Dad play hockey. That was really fun (and cold!) and Stuart's team won 3-2.

Monday meant handing in my IT assignment and then hurriedly finishing my Maths assignment that had to be handed in today. I also finally got the results of the Trig test I did last Tuesday: 89%. So much for predicting a perfect score :P. I also tonight got a call from my Violin teacher. Turns out the results of my exam on Saturday have already come in, and I scored a B!!!! Considering I reckon I fumbled over parts of it, I reckon I did pretty well. If I remember correctly, my Grade 1 exam that I did nearly four years ago, I only got a C+, so I've definitely improved, even though I already know that myself. I really sucked four years ago :P.

So I don't write anything for just four days (not including the Lyricwiki SOTD post), and I still write this much? Jeez. I guess there's just one thing left to say; I think I'm coming down with the flu AGAIN.
